This year the Scouts went to Thriftwood Scout Campsite in Brentwood. We had an amazing week of activities and it was great to see Colin and the crew not knee deep in mud (we go there for the Pedal Car Olympics evry January) We will post more pictures when we have rounded them all up.

This week our Cubs visited the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum at Manston. It was great to see all the amazing collections and be shown around by Adam, an ex 14th Broadstairs Cub.

Over a couple of weeks our Scouts and Explorers joined together and have been making Scout Staves. Having covered knife safety first they cut rings at 12″ intervals, notches at 1″ interval’s along the bottom 12″s. Tried their hand at some pyrography then whipped a grip on them with paracord.
