One of the Scouts annual duties is manning a water station at the Thanet Marathon. This year we added the Thanet Roadrunners Alan Green Memorial 10 mile race, handing out bottles of water and energy gel to the runners.

During this last term the cubs have completed the faith element of their badge work with a visit to the local Synagogue . A very interesting night was had by all with the Rabbi answering all their questions.

It was once again time for our sleepover on HMS Cavalier at Chatham Dockyard. This is a favourite of the cubs and takes place every 2-3 years.

The older Scouts have also completed their Expedition Challenge this term, again this is an integral part of the Chief Scout Award but a bigger challenge than the Cubs one.

The Scouts tried out a great new campsite this year and traveled to Braggers Wood in the New Forest.

What a weekend for all involved, after much planning and excitement Big Night Out 2, a Thanet District event, took place at Quex Park on a lovely warm weekend.
