The cubs had  a great weekend working toward a number of badges including DIY and Naturalist. On the Friday evening we gave them the challenge of making wooden bird boxes-an interesting challenge involving hammers! Luckily there were no injuries and everyone completed the task before singing campfire songs with hot chocolate.

On Saturday we visited Monkton Nature Reserve where we did some pond dipping, bird watching and went on a nature walk where we spotted the first signs of Spring.

All the cubs were enthusiastic throughout the weekend and will earn a number of badges if they do their homework!
