Well done to all the Beavers who took part in this weekends Space Sleepover. For some of them it was first time they had slept away from home.
First up it was time to learn about space taxis and then get creative and use their imagination with the wonderful world of junk modelling.
Next it was time to learn some fun facts and the order of the planets. After lunch and doing the washing up it was run around time. We then played with the water rockets, made meteors and played the alien game, made flying saucers and spaceship biscuits.
We all tried actual NASA astronaut Neapolitan ice-cream, very mixed views! we then made telescopes and design their own planet.
After dinner it was time to put up tents and lay out beds. Then on to the colouring sheet, dot-dot and word search. We were then all ready and waiting for stars to come out, unfortunately the stars didn’t want to play and spent the night hiding behind the clouds. Better luck next time.
It was then all into our sleeping bags before a bedtime story.
