Celebrating 40 Years of Beaver Scouts
2026 marks a special milestone for Beaver Scouts across the UK, and our colony wasted no time getting the celebrations underway. To kick off the anniversary year, our Beavers joined several other colonies from across the district for a lively New Year Party — a brilliant opportunity for young people to come together, make new friends, and share in the excitement of Beaver Scouting turning 40.

On Sunday 18th January, an impressive 106 children gathered for an afternoon packed with energy and classic party fun. They threw themselves into games like pass the parcel, pass the balloon, and musical statues, with plenty of laughter echoing around the room. Halfway through, everyone paused for a well‑earned drink and snack — complete with a slice of birthday cake to mark the occasion.
It was a joyful celebration from start to finish, and a fantastic way to begin this anniversary year. Fun was most definitely had by all.
