Today our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders, Leaders and Parents took part in a Community Project along with Thanet District Council to tidy Ramsgate Cemetery. The Beavers swept roads and paths and picked up litter, the Cubs did the gardening around the chapel pruning and removing a lot of the shrubs, whilst the Scouts cleaned the gravestones that over time had become covered in moss and ivy.
All the hard work and effort certainly paid off with a huge improvement once we had finished. The project goes towards the Partnership Award and for some sections it also goes towards the Kent Scouts Olympic Challenge.
Well done to everyone that took part and an extra big thank you to all the parents, grandparents and other family members that stayed and helped, we could not have done it all without you.
