At 10 am the Beavers arrived and the fun began. First up was the lion king masks for the Beavers to colour, and as soon as they finish, its time to pose for a photo. Next all of the Beavers prepare to make their own meatballs, instructed by chef Kit. All went well even though bits of egg shell had to be fished out. Oops. The Beavers then had to all resist the temptation to eat their next activity, marshmallow Baymax’s or monsters, which were made completely of edible elements, from marshmallows and icing to chocolate drops and piping chocolate. Delicious.

Next up was the character scavenger hunt, with the Beavers running all round the field trying to find their hidden character. Then it was time to make mike wazowski, made from tights and saw dust with pipe cleaners for arms and legs. However the pipe cleaners ended up stuck to the kids more than the tights. Lady and the tramp’s spaghetti and meatballs, each child trying their own meatballs, with mixed reviews most good, which was followed by mickey mouse bookmarks and pizza making. The Beavers then went out for a run around and when they came back in, took part in a Disney quiz. Many Beavers (and adults alike) were very competitive, cough, cough, Aidan and Brown Beaver. Next everyone got changed into their fabulous costumes and had a mad hatters tea party and made fruit kebabs, and after a little run around.

When they came back in they got changed into pjs and sat down to watch the lion king, with their popcorn and hot chocolate. After a slight sound mishap, where Gadget came to the rescue with speakers in hand, the film began. All the Beavers went to bed tired and after 5 minutes to talk all fell sound asleep. Throughout the night there were many good Pumba impressions making all the leaders break into laughter.

In the morning after all were up, dressed, put tents away, fed and had washed up, it was time to finish the quiz, meaning the competitiveness reappeared. The results were very close. As parents arrived all Beavers went home with all their activities and a bubble wand each.

Id like to say a big well done to all the Beavers for their good behaviour and a very big thank you to all the leaders who helped to make the sleepover possible.
