With half the Troop at Ramsgate Fire Station for two weeks the other half were left with Point 5, Gadget and Dan to work towards their Photography Badge.

The Scouts played with some old camera’s, we say old, probably only about 20 years old but you still had to load a film, wind it on between shots then change it after 36 pictures! much to their amazement. The Scouts seemed to struggle with the fact that 20 years ago there were no digital camera’s, mobiles, laptops or internet. You couldn’t just take a picture on your phone and have it on Facebook for the world to see in a few seconds. They also had a quiz to guess the items on display, don’t think anyone had seen a negative before!

They then got into small groups and set about making some stop motion movies. Wow, how Lego has changed over the years! Not to be out done by the Scouts, Point 5 and Gadget set about making their own stop motion film. We had a brilliant two weeks and Gadget has spent all day in the video editing suite (on his laptop at the kitchen table!) and the results are below:

Videos look great! However, Lewis, Sam, Joseph and Tom, I think you may have issues….
